Establishment

Kevoy Community Development Institute (KCDI) Jamaica was established in 2009 and is a registered charitable organization committed to empowering urban and rural Caribbean people in the areas underpinned by our four pillars: Environmental Security, Climate Change, Food Security, and The Rights of the Child. KCDI Jamaica has also been serving the Caribbean community for over 14 years.

Mission

Vision

We envision becoming the premier Agricultural and Community Development training facility in the Caribbean. Our vision is to provide decision-makers with diagnostic and modeling tools to enhance the effectiveness of sustainable and actionable agricultural policies adapted to the diversity of our region.

Objectives

  • Ensure the Caribbean is food Secure via KCDI’s regional Farm Management training programs.
  • To educate, train, and empower Caribbean People which will increase their employability and reduce their socio-economic vulnerability

Major Achievements

  • The development and publishing of the Caribbean’s first regional Technical and Vocational Education and Training program for Grave Diggers .
  • Providing the opportunity for Caribbean Civil Societies (Jamaica, Dominica, and Grenada) to make a formal presentation at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) in 2022 .
  • The development of the Caribbean first Electronic Waste Certificate program
